Song of the Week #18
This is an XFM staple. I cannot help but sing all of the words whenever I hear it...plus the fact that I fancy Kelly Jones always helps.

Something New
When I started this blog, I had a picture of what I wanted it to be. 10 months on it's still not what I want.
I think I visioned numerous outfit posts, selfies and so on. But that just hasn't happened. I am not the most photogenic of people, and then feel like a complete wally when attempting to take pictures of what I am wearing. On the few occasions that I sucked it up and asked le boyf to be a helping hand and take a few for me it all went disastrously wrong. I'm not sure I have ever met someone who is more rubbish at using a camera...bless him.
On Sunday, the hottest day of the year so far, I had annoyingly pre planned to take my 2 little sisters to the cinema to see Despicable Me 2, it was well good I must add. Anyway, I was unexpectedly waiting around for Elliot to get ready and took a couple of photo's. Although I didn't pluck up quite enough courage to do a full outfit shot, I just took a couple of snaps.
My new favourite dress from Asos. I love a smock dress, and when its floral/paisley print I am in pattern heaven. I obviously didn't realise that it was going to be 27.5 degrees otherwise my choice of footwear would have been slightly different. Oh well, I love my trusty flatforms.
I thought I should include a selfie considering since having this blog there has been about 2 photos of me. It's good to know who you are reading about I suppose.

Silver Roman
A couple of weeks ago I finished watching the series Rome. Throughout watching I was a massive fan of the fashion and the jewellery. Lots of cuffs, big earrings and necklaces.
I'm not a massive fan of necklaces because they irritate my skin, but I do have a weakness for certain styles. In Rome most of the jewellery is gold. I don't really do gold. I am dark haired and blue eyed so silver suits me much more, but doesn't mean I'm not open to some gold. But it has to be a certain kind...the costume type. It sounds ridiculous I know, but I just hate all of that delicate gold stuff.
Anyways, I was browsing New Look the other day for some new work jeans and thought I would have a look at the jewels. Much to my surprise, I found some silver earrings and a cuff that I fell in love with. I am so excited to wear them...proper saddo I know!

Song of the Week #15
Last Friday, I went to the O2 Islington for the Propaganda Tour ft The View and the DJ (definitely said like I am in K&P Go Large) was playing songs that I liked...shock horror, I know. I was completely in my element because usually when I go out with my friends it's to a club or something that just, in my opinion, plays dire music. BUT, they played one of my favourites. The song only actually came out last year, but it is definitely in my top 10. I listened the absolute shit out of this, much to Elliot's disgust. He originally liked it, but as you can imagine now cringes at the thought of listening to it. Whereas, I still get excited as the first time I heard it.
Such a child!

If I was a rich girl
(na na na na na na na na na na na)
Excuse that..
I recently came across a blog that introduced me to The 2 Bandits. To say I was in love was an understatement. I would like at the very least 3 quarters of the bloody shop, but unfortunately due to prices one just simply cannae afford it. I think if this was an English company then I would be more inclined to purchase something. But the fact is, it's American, which means international postage charges AND potentially extra importation costs (as a colleague experienced just a couple of weeks ago - an extra £20). It has a very tribal/bohemian/rustic vibe to all of the pieces, so I am gutted because it's everything that I adore in jewellery. However, my step-dads best pal lives in Brooklyn, so if I can raise enough funds I may have to call in a favour...muhaha.
These are some of my favourite pieces...

So this is just a small taster of the amazing stuff that is on there. By the looks of things I have a slight obsession with cuffs at the moment, but who can blame me?

Newbies
Asos
Asos
eBay
Primark
eBay
Firstly, my god these pictures are awfullllll! Long story cut short, I have to use my phone because I don't have a card for my camera wahhhh.
Last month I won my first ever competition on a blog woohoooo! I won £80 worth of Asos vouchers from Amy at These Girls Turn Heads...to say I was chuffed would be an understatement. I had been desperate for a smock dress for a long time after completely falling in love with everything minkpink. Unfortunately, Emily does not earn minkpink monies. Although this Asos voucher allowed me to go ahead a live the dream of the minkpink smock, I decided that actually I may as well take advantage of the equally nice and cheaper Asos versions....cue my first purchase (top dress). The purple floral pattern on the 2nd dress really caught my eye and it had a totally cute peter pan collar PLUS it was in the sale for 12 squids, why not?! To my absolute joy the smock dress was on 50% off...hells yeah. (Feel free to applaud - clappadee clap clap) So I have £52 left on the voucher which I am super pleased about because as y'all know I have the wedding to go to in August and need me some sandals to wear, but I think these will be purchased nearer the time.
I got this rather cute Topshop jumpsuit via ebay, the picture really doesn't do it justice, the material is so pretty.
My darling sist works in Primark at the weekends and was a complete babe and picked this skater dress up for me. I fell in love when I saw the Topshop one but it sold out very very quicky and unfortunately they STILL only have 6's & 8's available! I think an 8 would fit nicely on just 1 of my legs, what a load of tosh. Anyway, for £8, I'm not complaining with the primark one.
Laaaaaaastly, my favourite. When I read Gatsby I imagined that attending one of his parties would have been pretty cool. THEN, I watched the film and was jealous of all the babes in their amazing dresses that attended (don't worry, I am completely aware that these parties and in fact Jay Gatsby are fictional). Even though it was only like Thursday that I ordered this jumper, I can't actually remember how I came across it, but I am so chuffed I did. I can imagine I will be wearing the crap outta this.
