Song of the Week #18

This is an XFM staple. I cannot help but sing all of the words whenever I hear it...plus the fact that I fancy Kelly Jones always helps.

Something New

When I started this blog, I had a picture of what I wanted it to be. 10 months on it's still not what I want.

I think I visioned numerous outfit posts, selfies and so on. But that just hasn't happened. I am not the most photogenic of people, and then feel like a complete wally when attempting to take pictures of what I am wearing. On the few occasions that I sucked it up and asked le boyf to be a helping hand and take a few for me it all went disastrously wrong. I'm not sure I have ever met someone who is more rubbish at using a camera...bless him.

On Sunday, the hottest day of the year so far, I had annoyingly pre planned to take my 2 little sisters to the cinema to see Despicable Me 2, it was well good I must add. Anyway, I was unexpectedly waiting around for Elliot to get ready and took a couple of photo's. Although I didn't pluck up quite enough courage to do a full outfit shot, I just took a couple of snaps.

My new favourite dress from Asos. I love a smock dress, and when its floral/paisley print I am in pattern heaven. I obviously didn't realise that it was going to be 27.5 degrees otherwise my choice of footwear would have been slightly different. Oh well, I love my trusty flatforms.

I thought I should include a selfie considering since having this blog there has been about 2 photos of me. It's good to know who you are reading about I suppose.

Silver Roman

A couple of weeks ago I finished watching the series Rome. Throughout watching I was a massive fan of the fashion and the jewellery. Lots of cuffs, big earrings and necklaces.

I'm not a massive fan of necklaces because they irritate my skin, but I do have a weakness for certain styles. In Rome most of the jewellery is gold. I don't really do gold. I am dark haired and blue eyed so silver suits me much more, but doesn't mean I'm not open to some gold.  But it has to be a certain kind...the costume type. It sounds ridiculous I know, but I just hate all of that delicate gold stuff.

Anyways, I was browsing New Look the other day for some new work jeans and thought I would have a look at the jewels. Much to my surprise, I found some silver earrings and a cuff that I fell in love with. I am so excited to wear them...proper saddo I know!

Song of the Week #16

I heard this song on the radio last week for the first time in years.

It is such a feel good song and brightened up the miserable day at work last week so it can't be half bad.

Song of the Week #15

Last Friday, I went to the O2 Islington for the Propaganda Tour ft The View and the DJ (definitely said like I am in K&P Go Large) was playing songs that I liked...shock horror, I know.  I was completely in my element because usually when I go out with my friends it's to a club or something that just, in my opinion, plays dire music. BUT, they played one of my favourites. The song only actually came out last year, but it is definitely in my top 10. I listened the absolute shit out of this, much to Elliot's disgust. He originally liked it, but as you can imagine now cringes at the thought of listening to it. Whereas, I still get excited as the first time I heard it.

Such a child!
